Meet Our Pastor

Pastor Carveth L. DeLeon is a devoted Christian who places significant importance on the Cross of Jesus Christ. He is originally from the island of Jamaica, West Indies. His journey toward ministry began with a simple directive to "Go," with Christ leading the way. Throughout his journey, he has pursued various paths in life, including formal ministerial preparation at the Seventh-day Adventist Theological Seminary at Andrews University, where he earned a graduate degree in Pastoral Ministry (MAPM).  Additionally, he obtained a master's degree in management (MSM) and a Doctor of Ministry (D.Min) in Pastoral Counseling.

Pastor DeLeon has served the church in many capacities, including the Atlantic Union Executive Committee. He currently serves as a member of the Atlantic Union College Corporation Board.

He is currently the Pastor of the Emmanuel SDA Church in Providence, Rhode Island, and Immanuel SDA Church in Cambridge, Massachusetts, where he is a strong advocate for community outreach ministries.

Pastor DeLeon is married to his best friend the former Jennifer Dickens. They are proud parents of three children: Joel, Abigail, and Jason. Jennifer is an educator with a Master's in education and has taught in the Seventh-day Adventist Schools at the K-4 level, and as a college instructor.

Pastor and Jennifer are passionate about promoting Christ-centered family ministry. They share a common goal of ensuring that the Gospel is passed down from generation to generation through practical and intentional family discipleship, as well as congregational discipleship. Their aim is to help the young and mature fall in love with Jesus, flourish amidst life's challenges, while themselves "growing in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ." (2 Peter 3:18).

In his recreational time he likes to play tennis and go on leisure walks.

His favorite text is Philippians 1:6, which constantly reminds Him that, the God who begun a good work of salvation will perform it until the day of His coming.
